Sick burglars stole a car, cash and jewellery from a house in Soilhull - while devastated family members attended the funeral of the homeowner.
Carrie Williams had left her Honda Civic outside the home of late father-in-law Brian Williams in Wagon Lane, Olton, while she was at the service.
But when she and relatives returned to the house they discovered burglars had broken in and stolen £2,000 jewellery and £1,500 cash - before driving off with her limited edition car.
Grandad Brian, 72, died suddenly last month and the family members were at his funeral on February 22 when raiders struck.
Mum-of-two Carrie, 36, said: "It was awful. We got back to the house following the funeral to find it had been broken into.
"The family was obviously distressed enough as it was and we had to come home to this awful scene.
"There were four grandchildren with us and it was obviously very distressing.
"I just hope that somebody has seen or knows something and they can come forward with information.
"My father-in-law died on February 8, on the same day as my husband's 43rd birthday, and he also lost his great aunt just days before his dad.
"We had obviously left the car at the home because we were in the funeral cars."
Carrie's 2008 Honda Civic is a special edition model, with only 500 ever made. It has extra decorative trims and, unusually, a tow-bar at the rear and is valued at around £10,000.
She added: "The colour is described as vivid blue and it is very unusual."
The burglary is believed to have happened sometime between 6.30pm and 8.40pm.
Police are urging anyone with information to call 101.
