Soul singer Jaki Graham is to be honoured with a place on Birmingham's Broad Street Walk of Stars.
Graham, whose hits include Set Me Free, Round And Around and Could It Be I'm Falling In Love, sung with David Grant, became famous in the 1980s.
People who have stars on the walk include Ozzy Osbourne, Jasper Carrott and Nigel Mansell.
Graham, who went to school in Ladywood in the city, said to get the recognition was "absolutely brilliant".
She said she was so proud: "I'm stunned. I really am stunned, because I'm thinking 'how nice is that?'.
"Whoever's put me forward, I really, really appreciate it."
Graham's new album comes out on 15 October.
Broad Street Business Improvement District manages the Walk of Stars.
